Walter C. Witherbee house (known as "Ledgetop" is of the Shingle Style and built in 1890s.

Written c.1985 by Division of Historic Preservation - Building Structure Inventory - The Shingle Style - The Walter C. Witherbee House on Stone Street in the village of Port Henry is by far the most sophisticated example of the style to be found in the Town of Moriah.  Built in the 1890s for one of the town's most affluent citizens--a partner in the iron company of Witherbee Sherman & Company--this house displays the taut, wood shingled wall and roof surfaces and contrasting use of rough stone that is so characteristic of the style.  Corner towers and a porte-cochere, all having conical roofs, add to the elegance of the design.  Original small-paned window sash survive in many places, as well as a number of pointed arch windows on the rear service wing."
